White frames look great!
We agree. Pictures with borders or frames are simply more beautiful. It is not for nothing that images have a frame in every sensible exhibition. White frames in Capture One Pro: none. Unfortunately, Capture One Pro lacks the option of adding a border when exporting the images to automatically add the image. It is then quite difficult to set this border with other programs.
Maybe you have already asked google for all possible words to find out how to get a white frame around the pictures in Capture One Pro? Most of them – including me – just think they can’t find the function – in fact, they simply don’t exist.
So far: I have developed a solution for it. With my Border Tool for Mac OS and Capture One Pro, you can now add a white or black border in 10px, 20px, 40px, 60px, 80px or 100px width when exporting your images directly and without further effort. Of course, your image will not be cropped, but will be extended by this border.
You can define export specifications for different margins. You can export single or hundreds of images. You can also use the Border Tool directly from MacOS to quickly and easily embellish existing images with a border using drag and drop.
Admittedly, it is difficult to display a white frame on a white page.
Function overview:
With just one click, you can export images with a white or black frame in a selectable width directly from Capture one Pro. The whole is conveniently saved in a processing instruction. Of course, you can also export an image with frames of different widths at the same time.

I programmed the “Plugin” border tool for Capture one pro as I always wanted it to be. Even if it is not a plugin in the actual sense, it works very similarly, completely unnoticed in the background. No stress, no Photoshop, no manual processing. Simply a picture with a nice frame. Yes sir!
White Border in Capture One Pro
This tool requires that you install ImageMagick. A 100% free tool. You will receive a simple installation guide after purchase.
You could call the Border Tool for Capture One Pro a plugin for white frames. However, this is not entirely correct because the frame is created after export. This means that the image with the frame will not be visible in Capture One unless you re-import it after the export.
Why pictures with white frames?
Plain and simple: it looks great. Basically, pictures come out better with a frame. That was already the case with old paintings. Well, back then the frames were quite different and more detailed than today, but the principle remains the same. A good frame supports the visual impact. It is important that the frame itself does not attract too much attention or that it steals the show. It is not for nothing that almost all image editing programs offer the option of adding a frame to the image. Unfortunately, Capture One Pro does not.
Stop searching – even if it seems unbelievable, Capture One Pro cannot add frames to the image by default. This is exactly why I developed the Border Tool. You can now export images with either a white or black border directly from Capture One Pro without any additional effort. Rock n ‘roll!
